My Name is Lee McNurlin. I am so excited to be back teaching Kindergarten! I have been teaching in Cannon Falls for 30 years, and I have taught every grade level except Third grade! I love all ages, and learning with kids is my favorite thing to do. I was hired in Cannon Falls in 1986 as a Kindergarten teacher. My first five years were teaching Kindergarten. I then taught 2 years of First Grade and 16 years of Second Grade. I have also taught Fourth and Fifth grade, but I love teaching primary age kids, so I was thrilled with the opportunity to move from Fourth Grade back down to the "little ones".
My husband, Scott McNurlin, and I live in the country near the town of Goodhue. We have one daughter named Amy Jo. She is 13 and will be in high school next year. We have a 100 acre hobby farm with horses, cattle, chickens, goats, dogs and cats. We love animals and living in the country. I love the small town atmosphere of Cannon Falls, and we all love Goodhue County. Scott is currently the Sheriff of Goodhue County, and he has worked at the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office for 32 years.
I have felt very rewarded and blessed to be an elementary school teacher in Cannon Falls. I love spending my days with children, and there is no place I would rather work than in school with kids. I look forward to getting to know all the young parents bringing their children to Cannon Falls Elementary for their first year of Public Education. I hope to make their child's Kindergarten year a fun filled learning experience.
