SADD students are spreading helpful information about Suicide Prevention and the semi-colon symbol. Like in a sentence, a semi-colon is a pause that indicates the story isn’t over yet. YOUR story isn’t over yet! 🫶 The signatures on this poster symbolize all the students who are willing to help others by listening, talking, and being there for one another! ❤️🤍🖤 #LearningInThe252

Students in the High School Anatomy class are exploring one of the body’s most fascinating systems — our senses. The latest focus was on vision and eye anatomy. 👁️ Juniors and seniors took their learning beyond the textbook by completing a sheep eye dissection, allowing them to examine real eye structures up close. By identifying parts such as the cornea, lens, retina, and optic nerve, students were able to connect classroom concepts to real biological structures. 🤔🔬 Experiences like this help students deepen their understanding of how the human body works while building observation, investigation, and scientific thinking skills. Great work, students! 👏👏👏 #LearningInThe252

Students in both AP Biology and Biology have been working with genetic engineering techniques in the lab. 🧑‍🔬🔬 AP Biology students "transformed" bacterial cells to produce a protein that glows under UV light. Biology students were conducting a DNA fingerprinting lab to match the DNA from a crime scene with one of 4 suspects. 🫆🧐🧪#LearningInThe252

Ms. Albers’ 2nd grade class celebrated reading 494 books since January 1. Their top three readers were Renner, Nova, and Margot—who read a combined total of over 100 books! 😮📚🙌 The class recently finished the read-aloud of “The BFG” by Roald Dahl. They celebrated by watching the movie in pajamas with their favorite stuffies and blankets! 🎬🍿 The students also got to have an awesome treat: Frobscottle! (The BFG's favorite drink from Giant Country!) 😋 #LearningInThe252

Practical English class started their "Functional Reading Unit" last week. We kicked off the unit with the legos purchased for us by the Cannon Falls Education Foundation. 🧱🤩 The juniors and seniors were so incredibly focused (and a little frustrated) with the tiny legos we selected for them. We were loving it because it made them look at the directions even more carefully. 🧐 Thank you Ed Foundation! #LearningInThe252

The Masked Readers were back for another “I Love To Read” month. 📚🧐 Sixteen staff members at the elementary grabbed a mask and a book, had their picture taken and shared some of their favorite things. Each week the kids received clues about four readers and then sent Mrs. Kopp their class guesses on Thursday. Two classes who guessed all 4 readers correctly won a class snack each Friday. 🍎🍪✨ #LearningInThe252
