Welcome to Kindergarten
One of the most important things you can do with your child daily is to read books to them! 20-25 minutes a day would be great! It is also good to discuss the book after you've read it!
Another great thing to do at home is to have them practice writing their name the "kindergarten way". That is by using a capital letter at the beginning and lowercase letters for the rest of their name.
We will also practice recognizing letters and their sounds and rhyming. Sight words are introduced, as well as number words and color words.
Kindergarten math includes number sense, sorting, patterning and basic geometry.
Kindergartners participate in physical education, music, media and art classes.
Our kindergarten team works hard to meet the needs of all children and provide a quality education based on common core standards.
